If I went by the prevailing sentiment on HN/reddit, I wouldn't have: worked at FAANGs, bought Teslas and used FSD, had kids, bought a Bambu 3d printer, used Apple products, stayed in America to start a family, and so on. Each of these things have made my life meaningfully better. So I'll be buying No Man's Sky partly due to the complaining here and I'm sure I'll enjoy the hell out of it.
Not sure if online people are just always negative about everything or I happen to be cherry-picking instances where they were wrong, but going against the grain has worked great for me so far.
