The laws were introduced as a direct result of the massacre you're referring to.


Interesting you mentioned that. He used an AR-15 as one of his weapons which has been banned (like all semi-automatic weapons) in Australia since this occurred.

It's almost like the less powerful the weapon, the fewer amount of people you can kill.


Sure. On the flip side, since no one has a gun at home, people are not afraid to rob or invade your house. A ban isn't the answer either.

You should try living in a society without guns, you'll quickly realize how useless these things are.


Would rather lose a TV than get hit by a bullet.

I live in Australia. Lived in the country and the city. Home invasions are not an issue here.


Australia has 1/4 the homicide rate of the USA. And most importantly it feels safer.
