Well, given that modern consoles are connected to the internet, a zero day embedded in the code could be a bad thing.

Also I was more drawing attention to the meta level idea anyone who can put in an easter egg can put in a zero day.

(Also, a lot of people emulate old software, and there's some interesting things you can do when you game that out I'll leave to your imagination.)
