I built War Monitor (https://war-monitor.com), a platform that tracks conflicts and geopolitical events in real-time.
It ingests events from RSS feeds (BBC, Al Jazeera, Reuters) and Telegram OSINT channels, then uses AI (llama-3.3-70b via Groq) to classify each
event by category (war, terrorism, cyber, protest, disaster, diplomacy, economic), assign a 1-10 severity score, and generate a summary. Related
events are automatically grouped into conflict threads so you can follow how situations evolve.
Everything is plotted on an interactive 3D globe (Three.js) with real-time updates via WebSockets.
Stack: React, Three.js/R3F for the globe, Fastify, PostgreSQL + PostGIS, Redis, Prisma, Socket.IO, Docker. Monorepo with npm workspaces. AI
classification runs through an OpenAI-compatible API pointed at Groq.
No account required to browse. Free accounts unlock thread notifications with configurable severity thresholds.
Live at https://war-monitor.com — feedback welcome.
