Look at how well they've been doing. They're just scraping by with a minimal and declining market share propped up by cash from their single biggest competitor.

They're not fighting anything. They're being paid to be a weak antitrust excuse.

I love Firefox and I use it all the time but this situation worries me deeply.

Yeah, comments like this miss the boat entirely

Again.

THE SCALE OF MONEY.

I get that its convenience for the other company, sure.

But, like, what would you have them do? Explain what you guys would do better?

I don't understand what you mean by 'the scale of money'. The problem with 'free money' is that there's always strings attached. Right now Mozilla is listening toomuch to the ad industry. And trying to cozy up to them with the 'privacy preserving' attributes etc.

What I would have them do is convert from a permanently declining corporation to a more volunteer-driven organisation.

It's really when Mozilla started a corporation and started rubbing shoulders with all the big tech CEOs that things went wrong.

What I'm saying here is that it's utterly naive to expect Mozilla to remain "pure" given what it is up against. I think there's room for criticism like yours, but also seems like, big picture, a lot of anti-Mozilla stuff is perspective-free whining.
