> AI could create a permanent underclass of workers

AI can't create a permanent underclass, politics creates the permanent underclass by deciding to under-tax windfall profits and then under-resourcing a segment of the population.

Which segment of the population (assuming you're talking about the US) is currently under-resourced by the federal government?

I'm on the topic of a hypothetical AI future where the economy is disrupted, a small group of capital owners become ultra rich and some significant fraction of the population is permanently dispossessed. Then, in this hypothetical future, the government becomes wholly unresponsive to the needs of the citizenry and instead becomes an vestigial appendage of capital, merely protecting the oligarchs from the poor.

This can apply to pretty much any government, doesn't have to mean the US.

tax more is so solution...

underesourcing segment - why not just segment to stop consuming cheap dophamine and replace a lot of bad food with less of good (nope, new usa pyramid is not so solution).

i would pay people for eating less ut really good and watch less shows and tvs, would be glad to do so.

just give poor people free ai, free internet, free good water; give them chance to find out everything.

The resemblance this has with a drunk text sent at 3am is uncanny, but I don't think we're missing anything constructive.

Wow, look at that. Genuine human slop. What a refreshing change.

This comment holds just as little value as an AI comment, but you've managed to write so poorly that not even the top of the line LLMs could compete. Great work, really.
