Much of the news exists in multiple formats as well as channels. From meme videos straight from the white house X/twitter account to an online Reuters article about apple pulling the IceBlock app.
I think there should be archiving and documentation of these things. Cold hard catalog, as close to the data as possible. I'm thinking just a blob store with some meta data should probably work. One single snapshot in time per piece of data. I do not think archiving over a timeline like archive.org
I am thinking something like archive.org meets wikipedia
