I genuinely don't understand why someone would use WhatsApp instead of Signal.

Unfortunately in Latam tons of businesses can only be contacted via whatsapp. It's really hard to live without there.

For me it's not by choice but necessity. Whenever I can I push people to use signal

I would actually like it better if I knew that I only had people on Signal and businesses on WhatsApp.

So I consider this a feature, not a bug :-).

I don't like using it, but I use it because there are two people outside of my country that I want to stay in touch with and that's the only way.

Because they don't want to install Signal, or because they can't?
