Gaming is in a weird spot. I used to think everyone would be gaming by now but it seems we're still in this place where gaming is about shooting or playing arcade games with the occasional story driven AAA title.
I'm guessing despite technological advancements it's still much more difficult to make a good game than to make a good movie. Even VR did not result in wide adoption.
I'm still betting games will become the default way for consuming entertainment and a wide variety of experiences. AI does throw a wrench in this but it's only likely to accelerate this.
