This came across on Mastodon, whereas in my personal life a friend of a friend wanted a test audience for their presentation to seniors on how they could use ChatGPT for "making better decisions, not searching the web for answers but getting answers, Etc." I pointed out their presentation was nearly identical to the pitch by California Psychics, not a good look.
But all of this shares a common theme, people who don't understand what an LLM does but being amazed what they project it can do, and then driving off a cliff. Its like the people who die every year with "full self driving" turned on in their Teslas.
