I met a dutch guy a few years ago in a VR event whose company was focusing on VR cozy, open air environments. The idea was to help people living in oppressive conditions - think bedridden, long hospital stays and the like.
I think they had pretty good results, I remember it as one of the more grounded, believable use cases I saw during the vr rush.
