There are many reasons we have not returned to the Moon since Apollo; but it still stands as a monumental achievement that has not yet been equaled, demonstrating what is possible when we put the petty bullshit aside and all pull together. Too bad it took the Soviet Union to force us to do that. But what is happening now under Trump & conflict-of-interest Musk will certainly not get us anywhere fast.
