I’ve been working on a project since January 1st, and I just deployed a prototype. I started this project after speaking with tax professionals to understand their workflow and identify pain points. The goal is to build an affordable alternative to traditional tax services, making tax filing more accessible and efficient.
What it does so far:
- Identify IRS Forms: The tool detects which forms are required based on the user's tax situation. Right now, it fully supports forms 1040, 1040-C, and 1040-SE. Other forms have auto-generated content.
- User-friendly Interface: It presents these forms in a clean, easy-to-navigate way, making tax filing less overwhelming.
I’m actively working on the document upload feature to allow users to seamlessly upload and autofill information from their documents. Long-term, I plan on integrating with banks, QuickBooks, and Xero to offer year-round AI-driven tax planning.
To try the prototype, simply log in with any email address and create an 8-character password. No email confirmation is required.
