Why this simple ring was so difficult to make [video] (youtube.com)

Now titled "Basics of Getting a Product from Idea to Manufacturing"

I made it through the initial ad/sponsor section. Really makes me want to watch less YouTube.

To the product specifically. I'd have looked at welding or otherwise attaching the screwdriver bit to the ring and making them with different processes. It's sort of obvious that neither a jeweler nor a screwdriver manufacturer would know how to make this product.

I'm also not sure why we really need the opposite "screw" ring. Sure it's cool but the initial idea was a screwdriver ring so let's go with that?

By some chance the YT algorithm has been pushing some videos from the same creator. I've never watched her before but curious how I guess they seem to push certain creators across the board to all of us.

I'm not going to buy either, so perhaps my opinion here doesn't count. But I'd be far more likely to buy a set, one for me and one for my wife, than I would be to just buy one for myself. I think that's why she made it, even if that wasn't the original impetus.

(Unless I really wanted to punch somebody with thr screwdriver variant, that is. It looks vicious!)
