True, this article does not have a professional tone. So pick any of the other dozen articles that exist on this.

Whatever the tone of the article, the underlying fact remains that his reasons are not objective, either - they are political. He wants to ensure kids are exposed to right-wing rhetoric.

Maybe we can replace the link with an article that has more supporting data one way or another, and doesn’t sound like an angry comment on Reddit?

I thought we were broadly against tone policing. I hope we are done with that culture of censorship and deplatforming and can get back to holding reasonable debates and discussions even on controversial topics people disagree on.

I would never dream of asking TechDirt (or anyone) to change their tone, or any such. If that's what you mean by tone policing.

But HN stories are sometimes redirected to a more original source, etc. So it's not unprecedented to redirect a link to a higher quality source.

That's where my intent was coming from, if it wasn't clear.
