If you want to know about persecution , look for the least favorite group out there, and see where they are persecuted.

This list will help: https://www.jw.org/en/news/region/global/jehovahs-witnesses-...

As you can see, Russia and Eritrea are topping that list.

Russia is suspiciously missing on this website, however. I wonder why that is?

Also, why do I need to crate an account before I can view this sites full list? Why do they need me personal details?

So in Mexico, where the 95.5% of the population is Christian (according to this website), they experience level of 71/100 persecution (also according to this website)? Same numbers for Nicaragua. Who is persecuting them exactly? And how?

Exactly!

And why are Singapore and Russia (and Crimea?) missing from this list?

It’s a very lobsided list in my opinion too.

Singapore persecutes Christians? Since when?

They suffer no lack of opportunities for higher education (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_Singapore#Educ...), and the current Prime Minister of Singapore is of the Methodist faith (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Wong#Personal_life).

Stop spreading disinformation.

What is your definition of persecution? Or of Christian, for that matter?

Seven young men who are Jehovah’s Witnesses are imprisoned in Singapore for their conscientious objection to military service. Four of them are serving a second sentence because they refused to change their stance after serving their first prison term. These young men have no legal recourse in Singapore, as the government enforces compulsory military service and does not recognize the right of conscientious objection.

I was not aware that conscientious objection is illegal in Singapore, so I'm more educated now on that front. Nonetheless one must ask: Does this count as persecution of Christians specifically, when atheists (and people of other faiths) will similarly be imprisoned if they, too, refuse to serve the military?

Even if I accept the premise that this counts as persecution of Christians, without trivialising these Jehovah's Witnesses' suffering, I'd nonetheless say that their experiences in Singapore do not reach the level of statistical significance on the population level for Singapore to be included in this list (which is a list of the 50 worst countries for Christians to live in). More and more people in Singapore are converting to various branches of Christianity today, and no one (not even Jehovah's Witnesses) are excluded from higher education or well-paying jobs or social benefits because of their religion. Churches are abundant, and there are many schools in Singapore of Christian origins.

Again, I'm not denying that these Jehovah's Witnesses suffer for their conscientious objection. I'm simply saying: Keep perspective. There is no way Singapore is even close to being among the 50 worst countries for Christians in general to live.
