Looks like most countries are up on 4th grade math, and quite a few are down or flat on 8th grade math. My sense is in 8th grade math, countries below a certain performance level are able to increase performance, while countries above a certain level are more likely to experience decreases in growth or actual decreases. Is mass COVID infection setting a ceiling on cognitive performance as is documented in the scientific literature for years?
