I'm always puzzled by how "Big Tech", which axiomatically needs to be broken up, never includes Microsoft. Is this because Windows is the standard business operating system, or has Microsoft figured out how to lubricate the system that is poised to clobber their rivals?

Gates had to defend a half hearted anti-monopoly theme in the 90s.

There was a concerted effort to beat Jobs and Woz.

MS is the child of IBM.

There's an interesting contradiction at the heart of Microsoft:

Its products have been the standard foundation of computing for decades, they're so ubiquitous and entrenched. Although growing up with PCs using Windows it was mediocre: slow, bloated, unintuitive, you learned to wait after a click to let it "think". Doing anything on Azure is an endless maze of "pull your hair out in frustration" astoundingly bad, everything so overly difficult. And Teams.

It's depressing that despite it all it became the standard, yet encouraging for the quality software that will one day supplant it...

I hate how bad your products are.
