Wow Gizmodo is even more ass on mobile than it is on desktop. Three different popovers, one a video that crashed the page when I closed out of it, and another that also crashed the page when I accidentally scrolled inside of the ad container instead of the content container.

Do they actually just not want people to use their website or what?


More weapons of mass peacification incoming! Great news!


How do they test the accuracy of the models?


They already did, back in the 1980s. Also, there is a reason that research into Fusion has been ongoing since the end of weapon testing.


Fucking great. Just what our civilization needs. The greatest advancement in information processing turned towards the express purpose of eliminating all human life.


They are lying. They claim they are using this supercomputer for nuke modeling, but in reality they use it to model inertial confinement fusion.

That’s a funny way to spell the longest period of interstate peace on a per-capita (globally) basis since the interwar period prior to WWI.


That comparison is rather less comforting than perhaps you might have intended...
