This is partly known as KYC: know your customer. Banks have to do this, because of laws and regulations against money laundering and fraud.


It's called KYC. Unless you're Rip Van Winkle and have been asleep since 2001, it's the way of the banking world.


Mexico is host to Big Crime. The fact you could send anything there at all without questions is already a small miracle.
