How about looking at hard issues and do real work, instead of items that have no benefit to people.
Here are a few for the US I can think of:
1. Fix Health Care where every citizen can afford it.
2. Fix Social Security without cutting benefits. We paid into it for our whole work career and the only fix that is suggested is cut Social Security.
3. Make internet access affordable. I know many people who dropped service because they can no longer afford paying Comcast. Also, Comcast is the only option available where I am.
Those three go against our capitalist owners best interest and will never be done. Conspiracy baiting with aliens is easy, costs our owners nothing, and placates the masses.
Given the current political climate, this seems like an odd thing for Congress to spend time on. Is this meant to be a distraction or what's the deal here?
