"many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains. "
At some point when does cyber warfare become an act of war?
Full text for those blocked:
The FBI is aware of bomb threats to polling locations in several states, many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains. None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far.
Election integrity is among the FBI’s highest priorities. We will continue to work closely with our state and local law enforcement partners to respond to any threats to our elections and to protect our communities as Americans exercise their right to vote.
As always, we urge the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to state or local law enforcement, or submit tips to the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or online at tips.fbi.gov.
We expect every foreign nation to influence our elections - even our closest allies. It would be ultra naïve to believe we don't do the same around the world as well.
The "war crimes!" and "acts of war!" crowd - do you understand what you are actually saying?
If taken literally, you're calling for thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions of people to die because why? Because another nation attempted to influence our election?
What will you or anyone actually do about it? Invade Russia? That's the only thing that can be done about it. Are you volunteering to go to the front and most likely die in a near-peer conflict over some emails?
So... maybe everyone take a breath and calm down. You are allowed to be displeased and unhappy without dialing the rhetoric up to 11.
