the claims in the paper certainly put a lot of pressure on the "Gateway Agent"s piece, and i'm not necessarily clear on what they uniquely enable in this system via their design... or is the point that the novelty comes from connecting agents to any system that does resource registration & management... and i guess it does orchestration and safety, security, and compliance as well? and maybe the "context layer"? i read the "multiple gateway agents" section and left more confused than i started... saying that people will run their own DAWN Gateway Agents distributed worldwide... why? how do they interoperate? how do they even work? i'm sure i am missing the "thing" here, so forgive me-- i'm sure there is novelty here that i am missing; i am just having a hard time looking at the pile of legos and figuring out how they are put together into the object in the photo...
it is motivating to see that others are trying to scratch this same itch, though. the system i'm working on is a lot more first-principles, but relies on fairly exotic ideas that will inevitably be very user-unfamiliar should it ever get to the point of having users beyond myself... so i tip my cap to any and all other solutions, and ask all the above only out of earnest interest in how others tackle the problem.
