pov: you want to be logged into gmail but not fkn google.com. in fact you wish you were never automatically logged in while using google.com. esp if you use a chrome profile.

what's prixi?

* it's a proxied version of google search * it removes ads from the google search pages * lets you stay logged into gmail and other google services without logging you into google.com (effectively) * even if you're logged into a chrome profile you won't be logged into prixi's version of google

why you might want it:

* keeps your searches more private * cleaner, less cluttered results * easy to set up in your homelab

it's dockerized, so super simple to get running. perfect for that raspberry pi or old laptop you've got lying around.

check it out on github: https://github.com/oeo/prixi

i mainly made this for my homelab so i could just create an lxc and expose it over proxmox. my plan is to support transparent http proxies soon via the config file so you can have an entirely different ip just by throwing up an instance of tinyproxy or something on an ec2 micro.

i'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or suggestions for improvement.
