Show HN: GitHub-style heatmap for habit tracking (obsess.life)

I started coding this year. Seeing my GitHub commit chart green daily became addictive.

So I built a tool which could help me replicate the dopamine hit of filling up those squares for my other habits too.

Friends wanted to use it, so I added features: leaderboard, custom avatars. Now sharing it with HN.

No monetization plans yet. If it reaches 100+ users, might add more stats: productive days/hours, yearly habit wrapped, comparisons etc.

Would love to hear feedback from the community here. The green squares fueled my coding habit. Wondering if the red squares will do it for everything else!

Love the general idea! Was sad there was not something I could immediately play with.

I think this kind of chart is heavily underused.

Hey, if you just started and already coming up with cool ideas like this, I can't wait to see what you create in years 10, 15, 20!

Here's my user test: https://news.pub/?try=https://www.youtube.com/embed/Kd0_GsU0...

Just sent you the access code!

Thanks for the kind words. Was planning to do the access code thing to get some feedback first, in hindsight I think I could just let everyone sign up. Seems like the best way to get feedback.

Thanks for the video! Would love to see you share feedback on the actual app too.
