Could just as well have written "matured more rapidly" or "grew up quicker", AIUI. Changes the connotations quite a lot from the negative "Teen Girls Aged Rapidly", doesn't it? (That sounds like fricking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progeria !)
Great read, but also worth noting the limitations in the study that appear towards the end of this article. It also seems like it is not clear if this is a good thing (brain adapting to circumstances) or bad thing (accelerated aging) and if it is temporary or permanent (returning as circumstances like social isolation disappear).
