Im so done with artists and moral apostle speeches. They contribute nothing to the conversation. They work on a hypothetical humanity - that never was real. That adheres to laws and strifes for unity in economic crisis times. Well bad news, it falls apart into war-mongering little tribes going fascist in crisis times. The capitalist bonanza did not bring forth a new mankind and to think it could contract without strife after some stern speeches is a insult to anyone with a brain. Meanwhile - others have worked day and night, to bring about this ability for self-control and stability in economic crisis and they get zero-acclaim- even criticism by the deluded. We got a pan-opticon now, with everyone looking at everything and shaming atrocious behavior even where government fails. We have endless entertaiment, that has reduced emissions of 8 billion people going full west and kept us sane even during those environment paradise time in covid lockdown. We have managed to accumulate a ton of old people, which will not riot and rebel en mass during the worst period of climate change. We are as prepared as we can get for the shit thats about to go down, as we can get, and its defnatly not due to artists and moral preachers standing on soap boxes, yelling at the crowd to feel good about themselves. I wish i had a stone, so i could throw it and connect some reality disenfranchised writer back to the ground truth.

OK, apart from the old (under air conditioning) remaining placid, what else do you have that makes you think that (quote) "We are as prepared as we can get for the shit thats about to go down" ? First question would be who is "we", then "prepared" in what sense? Our economic models still largely ignore physics, believe in price elasticity even for essential resources and energy, believe in substitution as if wood could replace steel, our minds are diverted, unaware, entitled and unprepared for sharing. I myself do not see preparedness.
