This is like an op-ed from an alternative history where people are allergic to politics and hate themselves. I do not understand how I'm supposed to empathize with the author's position.
I wonder if the aphasics in The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat would've liked TFA as much as they had the TV politician?
EDIT: come to think of it, there's a simple way to have a world without fact-checking: have politicians who can be relied upon to speak truthfully. (Sadly, it's not an easy way.)
