Not interesting. Dropping "Soup" from the company name as like most big companies these days they own a lot of other things.

yeah not having actually seen any Campbell product outside of art and faux art, I assumed the name of the company was "Campbell" and "Campbell Soup" was something like "MicroSoft Office".

Goldfish? Hannover snacks? Pepperidge Farms?

This is why they dropped the "Soup" from Campbell's Soup Company.

The point is that many (maybe most) of us didn't even realize that "soup" was part of the company's name. I always assumed something like "Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup" was by the company "Campbell" or "Campbell's". Nobody calls it "Campbell's Soup Company Chicken Noodle Soup".

"Legacy food companies like Campbell are pivoting to gain a larger share of the snack narket"

What is "legacy food"??

Legacy (food companies) not (legacy food) companies; I think?

"Legacy" modifies "companies."

as opposed to innovative startup New Food, like Nestle, Kraft, Danone, ... /s

This is pretty interesting, I didn't realize they were that old or independent. It's crazy to see how they managed to own a niche successfully for so long.

Apple also dropped “Computer” from its name.

Growing up, people with the surname Campbell often got the nickname soup or soupy.

Related: I'm reading the book Ultra Processed People right now, and thoroughly recommend it. (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62586003-ultra-processed...)

I always thought this brand belonged to a big food company, but turns out they're not only independent but doing pretty well too: https://valustox.com/CPB

It should be: Campbell Ultraprocessed Seed Oil Hydrolyzed Protein Slop
