Hey everyone! We just released CoderKit, a new FREE Xcode extension for GitHub Copilot and Codeium. Use GitHub Copilot or Codeium right inside Xcode. Features include:

* Auto completion right in Xcode. No more copy/paste.

AI-enabled code autocompletion appears right in Xcode as you type. No more copy-paste. This feature is powered by Codeium or GitHub Copilot. It’s totally free with Codeium Individual account.

CoderKit is not affiliated with Codeium or GitHub Copilot.

* Tab to autocomplete, or ESC to reject.

Press tab key to accept autocompletion or ESC to reject it to make coding as smooth as possible.

* Xcode color theme sync

Use the same color theme with Xcode in autocompletion panel to comfort your eyes.

* There are more coming soon.

Hope you like it. You can download it @ https://coderkit.ai

Is this a fork of https://github.com/intitni/CopilotForXcode? OSS under MIT license, which CoderKit is not.

Sorry to reply late. We don't have any dedicated marketers to watch the communication. We do get inspired from it and other projects and just added a credit statement in our GitHub page. Hope that addresses your concern. About being OSS, we are not ready to do it right now on both code and business strategy side. May do it later.

Seems very suspicious. 3 fake accounts made at the same time pretending to be random people. Not sure about the actual product, but given this, I wouldn't trust it.

Thanks for pointing it out. One is our beta tester. We asked him to give feedback here as our only tester. If that makes confusing or misleading, we will let him delete the comment. Don't really want to be thought about like this.

Ay yo, Xcode 16(macOS Sequoia) will have code completion (running locally) and swift assist/chat (processed on Apple servers) for free without extra setup but downloading the models

Thanks for reminding. We do know about it. Supporting Xcode is just our free feature, not our main focus at all. We have tons of new features to develop like unit test case generation, self hosting, custom LLM models, and supporting other IDEs like VS code, JetBrains...

Nice to see the launch post here! I actually started using it a few days ago as recommended from my buddy. It works very well for me. So far I am happy with it and will update this comment later.

Are you affiliated with this project? The account you're posting under was created at about the same time as the article submission, but your text (i.e. "Nice to see the launch post here!") looks like it's crafted to look like you're a long time member that's stumbled across this by coincidence.

Naturally, you might be a "long time reader, first time commenter". Given that multiple clearly associated accounts are already here... I'm sure you can excuse my thinking something is "off" here.

Given the follow up response below, this is clearly an attempt to feign community interest and hype.

Not surprised to see the actual product seems to be an uncredited fork of an OSS project.

We do give credits for those OSS projects that we get inspired from. We are just not ready yet to open source our code.

Sorry for the confusion. Will ask to delete it.

Unfortunately, he cannot delete it.

As I said above, he is our beta tester.

what I really like is "tap to autocomplete/ESC to reject" feature. that's so handy even though it is just a keyboard shortcut. It saves me tons of time. While in other copilots, you have to click the button to accept, which slows down the coding a lot.

Please try it and give us your feedback.
