One of the biggest things for me with carbon-capture-and-storage (CCS) is that I really just don't see how we're going to accurately measure and hold companies accountable for the amounts of carbon they claim to be sequestering, when it's in their direct financial interests to just "accidentally" let the CO2 leak back into the atmosphere when nobody is looking.
This whole song and dance really just stinks of 'greenwashing'.
My largest concern of CCS is the huge amount that will need to be stored and captured, which translates into expense. Someone has to pay for it.
I wonder if people know the scale needed to accomplish this. Much cheaper to force people off of fossil fuels. Again I say remove all subsidizes from the Oil Industry and you will see a quick move away from fossil fuels.
