Balancing Privacy and Convenience

Do you think people in the US are far more relaxed when sharing their data to apps if this means they will get a very tangible benefit (like saving money) compared to European citizens? To what extent does regulation play a role here, and how does that impact the creation of new startups that will "deal" with vast amounts of user data in the US and the EU?

Unfortunately, the majority of people in America don’t even care or have a clue outside of the tech circles and maybe a bit more of the outer ring.

That said, this is changing for the better.
