Let me wholeheartedly thank you for it! It was easily a decade long the reliable and flexible workhorse for us! I could increase the write rate I think four times by removing a stale memcpy in the code and using infinite chunks. Reaching back into the written file for updating the chunk header was the major performance problem, both for SSDs having to rewrite a full sector to update four bytes, as well as spinning disks. Then we could write a full sensorset and all internal messages of an automated vehicle to disk.
