Khamenei has been the supreme leader for over three decades at this point, and has left a very long trail of Holocaust denial and "elders of Zion"-type public statements behind him. I don't think it's a stretch to infer that Iran's governmental views extend in no small part from his personal views.
Again: this isn't a blanket characterization of the people of Iran, and it's not an assumption that Iran's government will always be antisemitic.
so if they cut aid from Hamas, it's genocide, open air prison, etc, but if they provide humanitarian support before Hamas attacks them, it's their own fault?
If you're phrasing the entire situation as a genocide, then arguably yes, because you're doing it to the detriment of the Jewish people and arguably on purpose because the word and it's application here is gooey and not straightforward. Why didn't we call the US invasion of Iraq extermination, or occupation, or bullying, or or or. Heck, there have been actual Genocide events around the world, and we only 50/50 end up defining them as such. But hey, the one with the most control over feelings and the media is the one that defines the situation.
It's optics and marketing, and we all know why people are trying to coalesce around the word "genocide" because it has the most amount of impact, even though it's arguably not correct and also correct in some other ways. So it forces us to sit here debating it, instead of helping the innocent people on the ground.
But no one will ask "hey, let's just resettle the entire Palestinian population." or "Hey, lets get all the children out of this conflict zone, and then we can have the debate.".
