Wonder if these SF targeted taxes contributed to the move. I think Musk was debating Benioff about the HGR recently, something about payment processing and gross receipts...

The headcount already shrunk massively in that office right? Can’t mean much in the grand scheme other than being symbolic?

i mean, theres rent...

X is being sued by their landlord for unpaid rent.

By having less businesses? I mean that's what SF leadership thinks for sure.

This but unironically. SF was broken by gentrifying every inch of rentable property and pricing out the entire population that was supposed to serve as your untrained workforce. So now you have DARPA alumni serving you a $99 salad because they have to pay rent for their 150 sqft coffin apartment. This glorious "business" is the gory wheel that keeps such a godforsaken city going. Undervalued professionals filling jobs of necessity to pay for overpriced assets; why, it's a libertarian utopia. In such an expensive game of chicken you start to wonder who's going to blink first.

Source: I grew up in Detroit and watched this happen with tenured automotive employees instead of vegan self-made developers. You won't believe what happens next!

Do the employees know?

> “This is an important decision that impacts many of you, but it is the right one for our company in the long term,” Yaccarino reportedly told employees
