I recently logged into my Paperspace account to find that all my Jupyter notebooks and project files had been deleted. Despite a week of attempts, their support team was unable to recover my data and couldn't explain what caused the data loss.
I requested a credit to cover a few months of my Growth subscription as a goodwill gesture for the lost data and time. Paperspace initially offered $20 (less than half of my monthly bill), and later increased it to $50 after further discussion. I'm disappointed by their response, considering the severity of the error.
Has anyone else experienced similar data loss with Paperspace or other cloud providers? How did you handle it?

I laid these out and enforced them. That's why instead of hosting user data, I insisted we integrate with their S3 buckets and their Kubernetes clusters. Users could even use the data on S3 like a file-system from their notebooks (read_csv instead of boto3). Not to mention that it's easier to sell into the enterprise if you do that (CISOs, CTOs, CFOs, etc).
