Ouch:

> Neither SoftBank nor Graphcore would confirm the value of the deal. Two people familiar with the matter said it was just above $600mn, less than the roughly $700mn that the company had raised in venture capital.

Not the first time, nor the last that British IPR winds up being bought offshore and softbank (and broadcom) are being pretty rational.

I do wonder at what British capital markets are doing. You'd think there was enough domestic money sloshing around to buy local.

Especially if it's cheap. Which, judging by the rumours it might be.
