They're portraying this as ensuring handcrafted stuff, but "All items on Etsy must be either: Made by a seller, Designed by a seller, Sourced by a seller, Handpicked by a seller" is probably unenforcably broad.
I'll never understand why obvious issues aren't tackled in business until it's (probably) too late. The only saving grace for Etsy here is that nobody else has claimed their old market yet.
