Reddit is amazing community for this type of 'grass roots' fundraising. Moving story, and kind of overwhelming response. Hope it turns out well for the guy.
Yeah, and the weird thing is that reddit long ago became so large and diverse and infiltrated by trolls and shills and liars that no-one on there ought to trust anything like this anymore. Kudos to their faith in humanity, I suppose.
