Or a negative net migration policy. We can't support our current population with our available agricultural land, and our biodiversity is in crisis.

Converting our existing natural environment into farms would be stupid, as would turning farms into cities.


But maybe we could support current populations if we drastically cut waste and inefficiencies?

We can support maybe half our current population with our available agricultural land.

Having to rely on food imports has only been a problem during world wars.


Populations are rising across the globe and our relative wealth is decreasing to the point where importing food will become as unaffordable as it currently is environmentally deleterious.


Britain is going down the toilet, but it is not going down the toilet that badly.



It’s quite affordable. The country could pay for it. It keeps choosing not to.


Indeed, that’s the point. It is a conscious decision.
