Blue, Costa, Rush, QBF OS 99, Fastmenu, DOS Start!, Millennium OS, and Fun500 were all written in Quickbasic. There was a fun little trend back in the 90s and early 00s of writing "Windows clones" or "Mac clones" using Quickbasic, some of them were even hashed out enough to be useful scripted file managers for MS-DOS.


I recently ordered glasses but the shop, though they run Windows 10, still use a TUI for customer orders and crm. It is so efficient for them, just a few keystrokes they need and they can crud the information they need.


Lovely, what a lot of variety there is.
