Show HN: I built ArcadeCal, a calendar app for gamers, by gamers (arcadecal.com)

Hello Everyone! My name is Ryan and I'm the sole proprietor of Titanium Clad Studios, as well as the creator of ArcadeCal! ArcadeCal is a calendar application that is meant to make it easier for gamers to organize their gaming friends. I built it to solve my own problem. As my friends and I have grown older, it's become harder to find time to game. It isn't as simple as "see you on Halo after school" anymore. We all got old, got hitched, had kids, started careers, moved to other timezones, etc. So I wanted an organized way to create game sessions that my friends could join. ArcadeCal was the answer.

Along the way, I realized that I could server other audiences as well. ArcadeCal has built in stats for those who want to limit game time or maximize it. It also allows you to publicly share your calendar if you're a content creator, with planned customization and branding features for that page. I also wanted to add a little fun to the scheduling process, so gamification through achievements is coming soon.

Furthermore, doing a project that is heavy in datetime has taught me a lot. I now understand the horror stories of dealing with dates in JavaScript, which is something I had avoided before now in my career. It's been a fun learning exercise, and I'm sure I have yet more to learn in this regard.

This is my first commercial launch, but ArcadeCal is free to use as a guest. If someone is hosting a calendar, and you add them as a friend, it's free forever. I don't sell data and never will. I don't run ads. I'd love feedback from other SaaS owners, indie hackers, and especially gamers. Cheers!
