This is just as bad of a concept as it was the last time it was posted to HN and got almost no upvotes.

The Apple Watch just doesn’t work as a standalone device thanks to Apple’s completely unreasonable API limitations. Fun fact: exactly zero of Apple’s built in apps could be built using publicly available WatchOS APIs.


It would be interesting if the EU stuff leaks over into the Apple Watch and lets people install mini OSs there.


Kinda cool. But a feature phone or KaiOS (which is a bit in between) can do the same for much less if your include the price of the watch.

The hardware design is great though. Is that teenage engineering like that rabbit device? Looks very similar


I agree. The hardware design resembles the rabbit device.
