This and the ongoing npm cyber attacks make me so sad. What deranged piece of shit losers, out there just to make humanity lose, spreading nonsense & discord just because. Because having a decent respectable world that people work for together is too much for them. How I wish we were capable of pointing the finger here, making it known what dirtbags would fuck with the public good so shittily.

It's almost enough to make me want to back state level cyber security practitioners. But I don't see how I could trust them either. There would be perverse incentives to create crisis to them come "solve". The ability to control & monitor the internet at such scale feels far far far worse than these attacks which individuals and entities have to go out of their way to mitigate. Gods dear the day the shitty ass nations of the world decide to grant themselves root to tackle the bad guys; that would be some Bin Laden class "sit back and let America collapse" it's most treasures liberties grade shit.

Given the average age of the people at the ARRL, I'm surprised it took this long. Old people click on anything and everything in shady emails. (Source: I have a 91 year old mother.)
