Exxon Mobil is suing its shareholders to silence them about global warming (yahoo.com)

I have a distinct feeling this will have exactly the opposite PR effect by creating instant outrage clickbait and shareholder "victims"/"martyrs" the press may choose to celebrate with wall-to-wall coverage. Even discounting the drama cycles, that data exists that needs to be actively silenced because it's bad makes E-M look even more both evil and guilty. It makes me wonder if somewhere in E-M's management, legal, or PR departments there wasn't just incompetency but a desire to burn down what remained post-market cap implosion.

Suing your shareholders, let’s see how this works out for you.

Brilliant psychopathic move to talk about global warming and buy Exxon Mobil shares. Textbook example of zombies that know how to imitate a human being.

Kudos to Exxon management for blowing the whistle on them
