Ask HN: Typeform but for Creators (or Early-stage startups)

Typeform is super expensive. So I came up with these 2 niche use-cases.

1. Creators need to monetize (sell digital products, gather leads)

2. Early Founders need to validate idea (offer early bird access, gather emails)

So I thought to build "Gumroad + Typeform" combination. A form builder that helps you showcase products, take payments, capture leads/data.

Does it make sense to build? Anyone expert in this category, would love to hear your thoughts!

Do your research before embarking on the journey to create another Typeform alternative or Typeform with a twist. There are robust form builders that serve multiple form use cases like Joyfill.io, Tally.so, Fillout.com, just to name a few. I've spent 10+ years in this space and just about every product needs forms of some kind, so definitely a ton of validation for it right now. I just don't want you to start on this endeavor if the problem has already been well solved.

Honestly, you are on the right track to focus on a specific niche or market regardless of the product you build.

I think there's scope for #1. As a form builder a lot of our users are in this category and are looking for certain automation which a generic form builder is missing at times.
