I could be completely mistaken, but I believe (at least for TRAPPIST-1d) no atmosphere has been directly detected, it has just been posited and models suggest that it should have one. The wikipedia article (for TRAPPIST1-d) is full of "may consist of", "could consist of", "models indicate", etc. Whereas this seems (?) to be a direct observation of an atmosphere.
