I wonder if this is smart enough to figure out what happens with left-hand-drive cards... UK (and Ireland) drive Right Hand Drive cars... If it sees a passenger on the right-hand side using a phone, will it auto-issue a penalty, even though that's legal? I remember seeing a UK car YouTuber getting pulled over by UK cops because he was driving an LHD McLaren and his passenger had a phone in their hands... Ultimately, it was laughed off, but how does that work with an AI?



Left hand drive is rare enough to not worry the software about it. If it has the license plate that information can be used later to exclude them. The drivers will be undetected, but this is meant more as a deterrent I think.

Just looked up my car on the government site. It gives a lot of detail but no left/right hand drive. I am sure they must have it.
