Nicely done! Does the footer disclaimer about affiliate links mean that you get a cut from eBay if someone buys through your link? Is that lucrative for a niche like this?


Thanks. Yes, eBay's program is pretty decent: 3% of final sale, max of $550.

Whether it is lucrative or not is TBD. This is mostly an experiment in frontend and affiliate marketing links. I suspect I'll have to learn some content marketing and SEO to really get it in front of the right people.


Where do you get the list of guitars from?


They're obtained via the eBay API. A cronjob runs every few hours, filters them a bit, and outputs them in a structured format for the app.


Does the eBay API have info about the 6 or 7 strings, or you are adding that yourself? (Is that manual or automatic?)


It does, though that limits results. For bootstrapping the project that is fine, but I'll be investigating a more ML-based approach going forward.
