I'm sure he wants to head up the committee for deciding what pursuits are intellectually acceptable.

It's word salad contrariness and I'm giving up on links pointing into this source, they're very predictable.

(Not a gamer btw)

I think this guy is like Shadow in this video: https://youtu.be/n__GJuqLb00?si=4kqBifugIQGSdp2q

Computer exile beats historical gulags for intellectuals, since choice exists for voluntary return, as mental immune system outwits mind virus de jour.

Reads like an AI generated Luke Smith rant.

By this reasoning, not only is writing video games an IQ shredder, all sorts of pursuits in the arts are IQ shredders, all the way back to Shakespeare writing plays which distract people from doing useful things.

This seems like bigoted garbage, without just coming out and saying who he hates. He hates "liberal culture" and is concerned about reproduction rates. I can't imagine he is lgbtq friendly or could hang out with my friends without directing a slur towards someone. Maybe I am wrong because each person deserves a chance, but I haven't conversed with anyone who phrases things the way the author of this article does and then they turned out to be a decent person (yet, it'll happen eventually).

To focus on and dismantle his points, play is important. We can't all spend all day curing cancer and fixing big problems. Play is how people exercise our intellect when we are burnt out or just need a break from our big problems. Play is a major factor in how people generate new ideas.

EDIT - Nope, I looked at his other stuff and he problematic and completely absent of empathy on many levels. He employs logical fallacies all over and seems to enjoy victim blaming.

What on earth did I just read... I can't tell if there's a point between all the slang or if this is a Terry Davis situation.

WTAF is "codesoy?"
